Senior Designer, Visual Design (Global UX/UI Experience Design)

About the Role

The Senior Designer (Visual Design - UXUI) role is a core member of the Global UXUI Experience Design team at Universal Destinations & Experiences, responsible for creating visually compelling, brand-driven digital experiences that elevate guest engagement across web, mobile, and emerging digital platforms.

What You'll Do

• Lead the visual design and creative execution of digital experiences that align with Universal's brand standards while supporting business and guest experience objectives
• Create high-quality visual design deliverables including page layouts, interface designs, presentation concepts, iconography, illustrations, logos, marketing assets, and production-ready creative
• Apply foundational UX principles — information hierarchy, usability, accessibility, and interaction design — to create intuitive and engaging user experiences
• Translate business, product, and guest needs into polished visual solutions using the Global Design System while identifying opportunities to evolve it
• Partner closely with Product, UX, Engineering, Marketing, and Brand teams to balance visual excellence with functional requirements
• Contribute to the evolution of Universal's digital design language by identifying emerging visual, interaction, and consumer design trends
• Produce and maintain design artifacts, prototypes, presentations, and documentation
• Support content design efforts across digital touch points

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Design, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in visual design for digital products, websites, mobile experiences, or omnichannel customer experiences
• Must present a portfolio demonstrating excellence in visual design, digital craftsmanship, brand expression, and user-centered design
• Hybrid: designated hybrid, contributing from the Universal City office a minimum of four days per week
