About the Role
Principal or Senior Principal Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Woodland Hills, CA, developing software for cutting-edge navigation systems. What You'll Do
- Develop, test, and debug software for navigation systems

Basic Qualifications – Principal
- Bachelor's in STEM + 5 years, or Master's + 3 years, or PhD + 1 year of hands-on development
- Experience developing software in MATLAB or Simulink
- Programming in C, C++, or Python
- Experience with ClearCase, Git, ClearQuest, or Jira
- U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain Secret clearance
Basic Qualifications – Senior Principal
- Bachelor's + 8 years, or Master's + 6 years, or PhD + 4 years of hands-on development
- Same technical requirements as Principal level
Preferred Qualifications
- Current/Active Secret clearance
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Kalman filter design, INS/GPS navigation systems
- Familiarity with DO-178B/C, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, RS-422

- Principal: $114,000–$171,000/yr; Senior Principal: $142,200–$213,400/yr
