Director, Administration

About the Role

NBCUniversal is seeking a Director of Administration to provide strategic leadership over payroll and timekeeping operations, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely employee compensation. This role oversees the full cycle of payroll and timekeeping processes while maintaining strict adherence to labor laws, company policies and collective bargaining agreements, serving as a key liaison between leadership and employees.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage payroll and timekeeping operations, providing direction and performance oversight for a high-performing team
• Establish and maintain efficient workflows, strong internal controls and quality assurance standards
• Oversee all payroll and timekeeping activities, ensuring accurate reporting for wages, deductions and union/non-union employee time records
• Monitor timekeeping and payroll data to identify discrepancies and drive timely resolution
• Conduct invoicing and job estimate reviews for accuracy and alignment with project scope
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, collective bargaining agreements and company policies
• Partner with Human Resources and Labor Relations to interpret union agreements, support negotiations and address union employee matters
• Drive continuous process improvements, leveraging technology and system enhancements (e.g., SAP, Timekeeper)
• Serve as a key liaison with internal stakeholders and external partners, including HR, Finance, Payroll Administration, and Labor Relations
• Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals
• Leverage data and reporting to support workforce planning, including analysis of labor, overtime and absences

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of related experience
• 3+ years prior experience in a related field

$150,000–$180,000
