Art Director – Disney Television Animation

About this role

Disney Television Animation (DTVA) in Glendale is seeking an Art Director to provide creative leadership on kids & family animated series. DTVA has 40+ years of legacy creating long-form and short-form animation in 2D, CG, and stop-motion formats.

What you'll do

• Partner with Executive Producers and Directors on the episodic look, mood, and visual style
• Oversee the design team: Designers, Background Painters, Color Designers
• Approve all color backgrounds and character/prop/effects color
• Assemble and approve main model packs for vendor animation studios
• Communicate and problem-solve with vendor animation partners
• Manage schedules and casting assignments with the production team

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in artistic animation production
• Experience leading creative teams and working with vendor studios
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Harmony, and/or 3D tools
• Strong leadership and ability to give feedback to artistic crews
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Pay & benefits

• Pay: $3,016.50–$3,921.45/week (per Collective Bargaining Agreement)
